Carnival Time in Walkern

Walkern Fair: Sunday 2nd May 2010

Plans are now underway for the 2010 Walkern Fair, this year with a carnival theme, so limber up for the limbo, brush down that grass skirt, and don’t be shy of the coconuts.

Due to the success of the Walkern’s Got Talent competition last year, we are planning to hold a talent contest again in 2010. Can you sing or dance, or do you have some other as yet unseen talent? If so get practising for your two minute moment in the spotlight now! There will be three age groups; under 7’s, 7-14 year olds, and 15 to 95. You can register your entry by using the comment box below, or on the day and there will be prizes for the most impressive performances.

The usual favourites will be there including side-shows, stalls and eateries, plus the ever popular Comedy Dog Show run by Heathlands Animal Sanctuary.
